Clues to the Poor Citizen of Nippur story―found by following the heritage trail at the British Museum―included a tiny gold goat, a feasting scene and a box. Gimil Ninurta tricked the mayor into believing a box like this was full of gold when actually he had hidden two birds in it… At the afternoon workshop much fun was had recreating the birds escaping from the box and Gimil Ninurta beating up the mayor who had tricked him. The mayor tricked Gimil NInurta once. Gimil Ninurta tricked the mayor not once but three times! |
